Creation of Scripteam, an audiovisual platform
Focus Entertainment announced the creation of Scripteam, an audiovisual platform, through its participation in two experienced audiovisual production studios: Make it Happen Studio with a 65% stake and Marvelous Productions with a 66.67% stake. Alongside Focus Entertainment, two co-founders of Marvelous Productions, Romain Le Grand and Vivien Aslanian, and Sydney Gallonde, co-founder of Make It Happen Studio, as well as Jerôme Pédron, manager of Scripteam, will hold an 11.2% stake in the company, while Focus Entertainment will retain 88% ownership.
Expansion into series, films, and video games
The group aims to adapt the intellectual properties developed and owned by Scripteam into series or feature films. Additionally, they will explore the development of video games based on the series and films produced by Scripteam. Some projects may also be specifically designed for the gaming and audiovisual universe.
Consolidation and financial expectations
Both entities will be consolidated in the accounts of the video game publisher starting from December 15, 2023. It is anticipated that the contribution, between December 15, 2023, and March 31, 2024, will be around €1.5 million in EBITDA due to a busy period with the release of three films by March 31, 2024. The delivery of works will be less frequent in the following fiscal year 2024/2025.
No impact on investment plans
The completion of these operations does not affect the group’s investment budget already planned for the second half of the 2023/2024 fiscal year.
